Scotland offers
photographers great locations and material, especially the small towns
and villages.
The history of the
fishing villages goes back centuries with most of these places retaining
their original characters and well worth a visit.
Findochty is situated on the coast of the Moray Firth, just up the east
coast of Scotland, passed Aberdeen, Peterhead and near to Buckie. It
dates back to the 1400s and was established around a cove known as
Crooked Haven. It expanded as a fishing port and by the 1800s it was
home to 140 fishing boats.
